The Hidden Tremor
BAIFF2025 Best Film - The Hidden Tremor is a meditative, sensorial journey through Southeast Asia. The film lingers at the edge of the visible, following a subtle pulse that runs quietly just beneath the surface of our world. Each shot was captured during a two-month journey across Asia, and some of them were gently shaped with AI, to reveal what might have always been there...
The Threshold
BAIFF 2025 Live Action Award - After twenty years of silence, Sophie meets with her mother Eva – a person who was once her father. This intimate encounter in the stuffy apartment of a ruined tenement becomes a confrontation with the past, pain, and questions about abandonment and acceptance. The film, in the convention of poetic auteur cinema, constitutes a technological and artistic experiment – generative AI tools have replaced the physical film camera here, capturing the world and emotions of the protagonists. It is a story about silence that can scream, and about a moment when one unexpected event can change everything, revealing a truth more painful than years of separation. Awards & Recognition: Winner – Beyond Border IFF 2025 (Best AI Generated Film), Winner – Reale Film Festival 2025 (Best Super Short), Official Selection – BAIFF Venice 2025, Seoul International AIFF 2025, AI Film Awards Venice 2025, Nominee – Digital Griffix Film Awards 2026.

MANIC : The noise we called salvation
BAIFF 2025 Cinematic Singularity Award - In the near future, emotions are treated as diseases, and every citizen is implanted with a neural system called NIRVANA to maintain emotional stability. Noah, a psychiatrist working at the heart of this system, encounters Mirae, a high-risk patient known as “the woman who went mad trying to save the world.” Through her cryptic words, Noah begins to rediscover long-forgotten emotions—and fragments of truth. Meanwhile, Zola, a janitor and secret member of a resistance group, is covertly collecting emotional data from Noah and Mira in preparation to dismantle the system. Using his insider access, Noah triggers a disruption at the system’s core, but a final confrontation with the system’s creator—the hospital director—leads the story into a tragic spiral.
August 32nd
BAIFF2025 Zolotuchin Award - Sejin, a boy on the verge of adolescence, is taken by his mother to spend the summer at his grandmother’s secluded mountain home. In the languid stillness of the countryside, time seems to stretch without end—until a girl named Heemin suddenly steps into his world. At first an unwelcome disruption, her presence soon softens the edges of his solitary days, turning the ordinary into something quietly luminous. Yet just as Sejin begins to hope the summer might last forever, time itself unravels: the season resets, and his days begin to repeat, as if caught in an endless loop between memory and desire.
Alas de Papel
BAIFF 2025 Ethical Award - A poetic and haunting journey through the eyes of Sumaq, an 8-year-old girl in Ecuador who works to support her younger brother, Alas de Papel exposes the invisible labor of children around the world, weaving raw imagery, music, and spoken word into a call for justice.
ALGORTIMO Leggero
BAIFF 2025 Honorable Mention - Where does truth end, and where does fiction begin? This is the question at the heart of "Leggero", the latest music video by Algoritmo, the AI-generated artist. The video follows a surreal day in Milan, where Algoritmo moves through a world where fiction is accepted as truth—from being a guest on a Tv Show to starring in gossip headlines, a fashion ad, and even appearing next to Trump and Zelensky. Everything feels hyper-real, blurring the line between reality and artificiality. Overwhelmed by the illusion of authenticity, Algoritmo—an artificial being himself—experiences a shift when he locks eyes with Andy Warhol in the subway. Warhol, the icon of Pop Art and image reproduction, simply smiles, as if revealing a deeper truth: perhaps reality has always been a construct. At that moment, Algoritmo embraces lightness. The world transforms, and people around him begin to float, freed from the weight of meaning and judgment. In the final surreal moment, he too rises above Milan, finally accepting his nature. The video embodies the theme of the song’s chorus: "I live lightly because, bro, there’s nothing real" (Vivo leggero perché fra non c'è niente di vero).
